A: This is what you want, except you might consider the 8 GB version, which will allow you to load more detailed maps and have more internal memory available. I've used this micro SD card in 3 Garmin 1450 Nuvi units, and it frees up quite a few gigabytes of internal memory. The "HC" nomenclature refers to High Capacity, which means that there is more memory in the same physical space as compared to the SDSC "standard capacity" of older versions. This SD card will work well for you. The only caution is that the map will be loaded into the SD card, so you need to leave it plugged into your GPS; not really a problem.

A: This feature is to make sure you are the actual user of the phone....My suggestion would be to take it back to the store you purchased phone from and have them do it....and explain what your security code may be....usually your security code is the last four digits of you phone number or the code you gave at the store when you purchased your phone and plan. Sometimes it just four zeros...My best suggestion is to research the manual with the phone or find a complete manual in pdf format online and download for future reference if problems arise with your phone.

A: This item is a MicroSDHC card. The 'HC' stands for 'High Capacity', which is 4GB and higher. If the card reader in your computer is more than 2-3 years old, it probably can only recongnize MicroSD, which is 2GB and lower. You need to buy an external card reader that explicitly says it can read SDHC and MicroSDHC cards.

A: As far as I know the "Micro SD" format is pretty much across the table for cell phones. BUT not all phones can read all the capacities available. Usually older phones can only read smaller cards, recent phones can read larger cards(32gb+).

If the device specifically called for a 4GB MicroCard, then the question is settled. Buying a card larger than the size specified can be a waste of money as the device firmware or software may not recognize the larger size. Buying less than what is specified can have an adverse effect on performance. Memory is an inexpensive investment. I have always purchased the largest card supportable by the device and its software.

Look at it like that if it comes to sd/microsd/flash drives: they're about from the same place and if you're not a digital photographer shooting stills or video in hd you should be more than fine. You're right though , these days it's hard to tell. Try to buy them in retail packaging and not in bulk.
