It can be read outside in the sunlight. The battery lasts FOREVER compared to the table. And the voyage has a built in light so you can read in the dark if you wish. The tablet is great for web surfing, email, apps, video, games. So, it depends on what you want to do with it.

A:Do not get the Otter box, it doesn't match up with the buttons. This is 5th gen so no.
A:built-in Bluetooth with support for A2DP compatible stereo headphones, speakers, microphone, and LE accessories support
A:No, you do not have to have prime to use this tablet. And let me say for $50 you cant go wrong.
A:Yes. Go to Settings / Storage and click the option to install apps on the external card. If the app will permit that, works fine. Many do, some don't. There is also the option to install media like movies/magazines etc there.
A:Overdrive app gives access to free audio books, we found that by getting library cards at several local counties and her grandparents city we have a huge selection of free audio books and radio plays that my daughter loves.
A:Hello! Yes! if you can use Skype on the tablet, you find it in Appstore

A:At home I have a wireless printer had to download the app that corresponded to the printer and it work So yes you can print with it.
A:Yes, you may need to adjust your screen brightness setting, but it works fine.
A:The charger I have is the standard 2-prong US; however, it is rated for up to 240 volts so if in GB or Europe, you would just need the adapter instead of a converter. Like grinndel98 says, I also think it would come with the correct type of plug depending on where it's bought. Hope this helps.

A:Yes. The device itself operates on 5V, from a standard USB adaptor (provided). The power adaptor runs on 100-240V.
A:I used my original Fire without internet for a couple of years. Every once in a while you have to connect it to the internet to update or the games won't work. I just took my to any place with free wifi and updated it.
A:The easiest solution is to have an SD card for each type of content you want to access. Books on one, games on another, and so forth. You can find inexpensive media cards at Big Lots and other places; so just buy 2-3 8G cards as needed.

Anyone else have the problem that, if they're all registered to one account, all content is shared? Despite the fact that I specifically chose to deliver books to my kindle OR my son's, all my books and movies show up in his Cloud. He can see the covers, etc. It is a gigantic pain to try to hide each individual thing from his every time I make a purchase. I have been reading about the somewhat new feature, where families can share a library off the same account, but I don't know if that will fix things. The last time I called customer service, I was told the only way to truly separate the accounts is to deregister my son's from mine, create an account in his name, and re-purchase everything that was intended for him to put it on his alone. I hate to do that. I would also like to purchase a kindle for my other child, but have no idea what to do in order to prevent "cross-contamination."

A:Sure, stick the USB charging cord into the laptop, or insert the micro SD in the adapter, paste a folder into the storage part of the Fire if you use USB. Get a VLC player app to play all those movies.
A:You disable run apps from unknown sources, find them, and install them, read how to use google apps on amazon fire. Most will work, probably 99% will.

You will need to do this for any tablet with wifi only. Wifi is meant to be off your internet connection. Once you have it, and turn on Amazon Fire or any tablet or laptop, you will see your router as a network. You can rename your router so you know what it is for sure. Then there are 0 data charges, you can add all you need in your home, use it in bed to watch movies online, the list goes on and on. It's not hard, there are guides on youtube for it too.http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-TL-WR841N-Wireless-Router-300Mbps/dp/B001FWYGJS/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1448586634&sr=1-2&keywords=tp+link mine.
