Q:Is the smart remote waterproof- and to what depth? We'd like to take it diving.
A:The Smart Remote is waterproof to 32'. However the wireless connectivity does not work under water, so the remote and cameras do not remain connected if submerged.

Q:My chest hair is 3-4 inches, depending on how many drinks I've had. will i be able to see out of the jungle? is it food-stuff resistant? thank u.
A:If I were you, I would put on a shirt before the harness. Otherwise, any female Sasquatch in the area might grab you and take you home!

Q:will this stick to drywall?
A:Sadly, after I saw that you asked this I went to try it. My answer is no. Not in the least possible way did it stick.

Q:Does this remote work with the GoPro Hero 4 (silver and black)?
A:Yes, this is the new one, just released together with the Hero4 cameras. The previous model was called the GoPro Wi-Fi Remote. This can also be used for Hero3 and Hero3+ according to GoPro.

Q:does it work on all go pros?
A:Not all, it works with Hero 3, Hero 3+, and Hero 4

Q:Are there any vibration issues (as seen with other suction cup mounts)?
A:The person I bought it for had it mounted to pretty much every area of my Baja while off-roading and we've had no vibration issues to date. This is one of the best things I've invested in.

Q:what is the white plastic thing with a loop and a hook for?
A:It fits on the clip that would slide into the mount and the loop will go around the hand tighting screw to eliminate vibration. A person has made a video on YouTube called tips and tricks for Gopros and he shows it use or you can use a piece of tape on the botton of the mount. Hope this helps you.

Q:What's the advantage (if any) of this over the iPhone/Android app for controlling the camera?

With the App, its nice to see the preview of what the gopro is looking at, of course since its a preview the quality is not good. There also is at least a 2 second delay on the preview, Even when the camera is inches away from tablet. You can change all the settings with the app. The distance with the app is not nearly as far as the remote. Across the living room was as far as I got the app to work well without the preview and connection loss. FWI I did try the app on a smart phone, and the preview delay was terrible at least 10 seconds and losing connection instantly. (farthest I got was about 10 feet) With the remote it DOES actually go 600 feet! That was the first test I did when I got it. From the house to maybe 300 feet (plus through walls) and still worked! The remote does need a clear line of sight to the camera though! Plus the remote comes with a strap to wrap around your wrist or anything (handlebars, pole, and more). The LCD screen on the remote is a duplicate of the LCD screen on the GoPro. The remote is also waterproof! (in reason). No worries of getting it a little wet.. unlike a smartphone or tablet. In conclusion.. I choose the smart remote anytime. Best thing I like about it is how far the connection can go! see less

Q:Does the handle float upright or on its side?
A:Upright and I must say it works very well

I try to use only one insert in my go pro when diving and it seems to work fine. I try to handle the desiccant pad very gently. Another tip is, if you are staying in an air conditioned place an then going out for a dive in a warm climate, you should consider acclimating your gopro to the temperature out side in advance to using it. Say 1 hour if possible exposure to climatize the camera and case. This will make it less likely to fog. As far as powder residue inside the case. If that occurs A q-tip slightly moistened will clean the residue out followed by a dry q-tip. I also keep my inserts in a zip lock bag to protect them. Careful handling of the inserts and they will last a long time. Good luck, hope this answer helps. see less

Q:Why is it only waterproof to 33 feet? If it has no embedded air spaces, shouldn't it be waterproof to ANY depth? What happens to it at 50 feet?
A:I would guess the seams would give way to the pressure since the middle of handle is an air pocket which makes it float.

Q:Does this mount work with Hero 4?
A:Yes

Q:How sturdy are the wrist housing and the band? Any chances of them falling off while skydiving or other high speed sports?
A:Most definitely not if you wrap it properly wwhich would almost be improbable. I would suggest using the open back since you would not be getting the camera wet and you would hear the wind and your voice better. Also, don't forget to pop your ears once you pass the clouds or you won't be able to hear much going down. … see more Most definitely not if you wrap it properly wwhich would almost be improbable. Q:Does this harness make you feel as dorky as you look?
A:Depends on where you wear it. Snow skiing, no. Water skiing, yes. Bike riding, yes.

Q:Looking to use this on the exterior of my car at highway speeds, has anyone else done this? If so, did it go well?
A:I put this on the side of my r6 fairing and it stayed attached fine at speeds around 75-80. I would recommend using a small tether of some sort just in case.

Q:Will the Hero4 work with the mount?
A:Yes

Q:Does this product come with the connecter to mount the camera directly to the clamp without using the extension neck?
A:Yes it does. Can connect to either clamp or extension neck. It works great! I love it!

Q:When I take videos with this it puts a lot of fuzzy noise in the video when I move my hand on the grip. Is this normal?
A:Yes. The case and the grip act as an extension of sorts to the mic.

Q:I play hockey and I'm not thrilled about the whole sticky thing that you have to put on for the helmet mount. Could you use this on a hockey helmet?
A:I have not tested it, but I would imagine it could be adjusted to fit a hockey helmet.

Q:I want to wear the go pro to record at a concert how well do you think it will handle jumping arount etc.
A:I had bought my head mount for fishing. I was afraid that I'd be fighting a fish and it would fall off my head into the water. Q:Does the handles foam material hold up very well?
A:Yes, I go to the beach at least once a week if not twice and take it with me in the water. It's still in good shape and I bought it in January!

Q:does it take still pix as well as video.
A:Yes, it can take 10MP photos. More in-depth info can be found here: https://shop.gopro.com/cameras/hero3plus-silver/CHDHN-302.html

Q:Will be using gopro for swimming with head-strap. Is QuickClip suitable?
A:I find the head band thing to cumbersome and heavy..would not recommend it.

Q:Can I use this while running?

Q:for what is that?

Q:Does this include the adhesive for securing the mounts to a helmet?
A:Yes they do.. and they are very sticky too!

Q:How would this hold up on motorcycle handlebars behind a wind screen?
A:There is a GoPro Handlebar Seatpost Mount that might be better. We used that one on a motorcycle ride and it worked great and it wasn't behind a windscreen.

Q:is it okay to swim with this thing ? or will get get ruined?
A:With it clipped down its perfect for swimming. I use mine for snorkeling but it has an optional strap to stand it up but its garbage. I just use it flat on my wrist n it works fine u just have to turn ur wrist to what u want to shoot.

Q:comes with quick clip?
A:My model does not. You must use the bolt to affix the housing to the strap. I think newer models do come with a quick clip. I have only used it a couple of time and this was not a problem for me.

Q:What's the difference between this and the housing provided with the camera? How do you tell which one you have?
A:Each of the HERO3+ cameras come with the Standard Housing that is capable of withstanding depths of up to 131 feet (40 meters). This product allows you to go deeper, being waterproof to 197' (60 meters).http://gopro.com/support/articles/hero3plus-waterproof-housing-depth-rating

Q:Can you take pictures from the handle or do you still need need to use button on the camera?

Q:Will this surfboard mount work on the GoPro Hero 3? The description doesn't list that camera as compatible.
A:Yes, I have the hero three and I use these

Q:is this good for snorkeling or cube diving?
A:Not to be a bit of an ass, but why wouldn't it be? It's easy to hold on to, floats, and has a wrist attachment. It's the primary reason I bought mine.

Q:will this fit an sjcam4000?

Q:Is this the genuine GoPro brand?
A:Yeas it is

Q:would this fall off going on a 1/4 mile zipline?
A:Assuming you adjusted it appropriately it should be fine, it didn't come off underwater, so I'd imagine wind would be handled just fine.

Q:Is this compatible with Hero 3+?
A:It works with every go pro model. It screws into the bottom of the camera case. Its just like the mounts you can buy for it, only this one goes on your head.

Q:Does this fit onto a paddle board? I know its not recommended for surfing but since paddle boarding is more recreational, would it work for that?

Q:I was going to buy the wrist housing but the reviews saying not an official GoPro product freaked me out is this an official GoPro product or not???
A:The one I ordered is official GoPro and came packed in official GoPro packaging.

Q:Will this maintain suction if it was to get wet, like if it was attached to a windsurfing board? I didn't want to use a permanent adhesive mount.
A:Yes. It remains attached to both windsurfing boards and snowboard when wet IF IT IS ALREADY ATTACHED. If you try to put it on an icy snowboard or wet windsurfing board, cling is suboptimal, but again, once attached, moisture and/or cold has little effect on suction.

Q:Does this fit go pro orginal
A:Yes it does

Q:Does the remote need to be within the range of a Wi-Fi router or is the signal transmitted from the camera?

I am on a backordered list to get a replacement backdoor which does not have this problem. If you do not care about seeing the LCD screen (but you bought the hero 4, probablty in part because of it), then this will work. If you want to see what you are shooting, it will not. Q:Would this be a good option to mount a Hero3 to a canoe for an 80 mile river float? Also, would this pull double duty for long rides on a road bike?
