This tiny action camera supports Micro SD cards up to 32GB, and is ready to capture your most exciting moments in full HD video or highresolution images. So if you're living a life that's fit for film, make the CUBETM your constant companion. It is weatherproof and shockproof, and more than capable of handling anything you throw at it. But not only does it look after itself, it looks after you: With a 124° wide-angle lens, it sees the big picture and bears witness to your most outrageous shtick.
Packs a mounting magnet; sticks to any metal surface.
The fun rarely sits around waiting... That's why the Polaroid® CUBETM features a neatly integrated magnet in the bottom of its housing. Simply pop the camera onto your helmet, skateboard, bicycle handlebar, golf club, or any other metal surface, and it'll stick with you through thick and thin. There's no need to fiddle with bands, straps or other makeshift apparatuses. What's more, the camera's shockproof design helps to capture stable video even when you give it a run for its money, and its weatherproof sealing makes it perfect for wake boarding, water skiing or just chillin' by the pool.

Q:How much did Instagram pay Panasonic for them to make their camera look like the Instagram logo?
A:probably nothing, since this is made by polaroid
Q:Does it come with a memory card?
A:No. There is no memory card included with the Cube. You will need a micro SD card (a regular one, don't get an "ultra" model - they are not compatible for using the USB-micro USB cable for offloading images & videos to a computer). The Cube can handle up to 32 GB cards.
Q:Does this have the ability to take a snapshot every few seconds? For example, the GoPro will take a photo every 5 seconds or so.
A:No it can't , it can only take one picture at a time , with every click , and it's kind of slow.
Q:How water resistant is it?
A:The cube is weatherproof/splashproof and not water resistant. meaning it can operate under light rain (not for an extended period) and can survive a splash of water. However you CANNOT submerge it in water. You can buy the separate waterproof case here: http://www.amazon.com/Polaroid-POLC3WC-Waterproof-Cube-Cameras/dp…

Q:the mode..".recording in cycle", what does it mean? does it mean loop recording?
A:It means when your SD card is full, it will start automatically deleting your oldest video clips, as you continue recording new clips.
Q:when you look back at your videos, will you hear your normal voice talking, or a robotic, not lively voice
A:The cube has a microphone and actually has fairly decent sound quality given its size. You will hear whatever sound the microphone picks up. Here is an example: https://vimeo.com/113194171
Q:Can you go snorkeling with this camera? (i.e. have it submerged for an extended period of time)
A:I would get the waterproof case if you plan on using this for snorkeling. I haven't tried it fully submerged in water...it says "weatherproof" and I've read it's also waterproof but why would it be waterproof when they sell a waterproof case. If you want to test it out, do it at your own risk but I'd rather be safe tha…

Q:Which (if any) mounts does it come with, and if it does'nt come with the ones you want, can you get them here on Amazon?
A:It only comes with the magnet. There are a few mounts available on Amazon.
Q:Is this better than the gopro hero?
A:Absolutely not, no. But it is cheaper and smaller. If you get drunk and leave it at a bar, you only lose $100, rather than $130.
Q:Can it record while charging?
A:Yes and NO (read my addition please). The brochure that comes with it says "the camera can be used while charging with a wall adapter." I just tested mine and that is true. Yes and NO (read my addition please). The brochure that comes with it says "the camera can be used while charging with a wall adapter." I just tested mine and that is true. I don't know whether it can be charged by a USB plug from a cigarette lighter but I assume that it does. The USB cable provided is much too short to reach from a cigarette lighter to a mounting spot so you'll probably need a longer one. The cable that came with my Kindle fits perfectly and it is long enough. TODAY I PLUGGED THE CAMERA INTO A CAR USB CHARGER. THE BATTERY ONLY LASTED 1 HOUR AND 16 MINUTES. CLEARLY (FOR ME) UNACCEPTABLE.

Q:One reviewer mentions something that it will automatically limit video length to five minutes. Is this true? I'd like to take continuous video.
A:YES.... it appears to have a limit where it automatically shuts off. Have not tested if time is exactly 5 minutes.
Q:I assume it can be used as a car dash cam. If so how can it be attached to car for that purpose? Will the suction cup adaptor work?
A:Yes the suction adapter works. I've used it on a few mirrors in the house but not on a dash board but im pretty sure it should work
Q:What program/software is the best for editing my videos, and to be able to upload to YouTube? Watched video on Quicktime, can't seem to edit on there
A:I use Apple products and I've found iMovie to be a great film editor. It's easy to use and has several built in themes for making movies or trailers
Q:What's in the box?
A:The camera, the short USB cable, and a manual
Q:Is there any kind of view finder on this camera?
A:No
Q:Can someone explain why the micro sd storage is limited to 32gb? i see 64gb micro sd cards exist, why would they not work with this device?
A:Answer this question
Q:when charging for first time there is a green light with 3 bleeps followed by orange light is it now on charge
A:Yes, the LED displays three indicator colors: orange (charging), green (on) and red (recording).
Q:how long does it take to charge
A:Mine charges from empty to full within about an hour or an hour and a half.
Q:Could this be used as a dash cam?
A:I've used mine, mounted on the headlight of my motorcycle with the magnet. Works fine.
Q:Is there any kind of view finder on this camera?
A:No
Q:Does it float?
A:yes it does
Q:how long does it take to charge?
A:I've found it charges a lot faster if you turn the camera off while plugged into a USB charger.
Q:Why can's I get sound from my recordings?
A:You need to watch the video in Quicktime Player to hear the sound. I am not sure why this information is not included prominently anywhere on the packaging but I found it on the Polaroid website after much searching.
Q:What happens first while recording: The battery dies or the 32GB SD Card becomes full?
A:I have been able to record around one hour on a charge. A 32gb card, however, will hold 8 hours of video. Thus the battery goes long before the card being filled. A 32gb is all the card most people would ever need as they can transfer the clips to your computer hard disk.
Q:has anyone tried mounting or tying this to a dog collar? I'm looking for something to put on my dog while she is out in the woods
A:I could be done but it would a DIY mount. If the camera shakes it can be vomit producing video. There are YOUTUBE videos on making home made steady cam with gopro using the same tripod mount option for the Cube.
Q:I just received this as a gift. How do you see what you are taking a picture of.
A:There is no screen or screen attachment, so you can't immediately see what you're shooting. You just have to point it in the right direction. It's a wide-angle lens, so it catches more than you think.
Q:how about the strength of the magnet? enough for my snowboard?
A:The magnet strength is significant. Jarring and impact would not, in my opinion, shake it loose. Were it to strike an object however, I believe it would knock it loose.
Q:How is video in low light? Does this camera record sound as well?
A:Videos in low light is not good! The sound recorded is good! Not wonderful but good...
Q:Why have a super wide angle lens? Is there a zoom adjustment? My guess is that wide angle perspective minimizes " camera shake" from action use?
A:Since there is no view finder and most people will mount this to a moving object, the wide angle insures you capture what you are trying to film.
Q:My Polaroid Cube does not show on My PC when connected. Anything I need to do?
A:I could not get a menu to pop up without the SD card installed but it did recognize the device; with the SD card installed for Windows 7,on the pop up menu select Open Folder to view files and select Polaroid Cube to change settings.
Q:does it come with suction cup for windshield
A:If you go to the Polaroid Cube website you will see a number of devices for attaching. I assume Amazon will sell. Also, metal washers and tape works great.
Q:is this product compatible with mac?
A:Yes it is. I have a Mac Book pro and it works great.
Q:How do i know it done changing
A:My cube never worked
Q:can you use it as a webcam for skype?
A:Yes
Q:Can be used as dashboard camera ?
A:Use magnetic putty. It works the best.
Q:after uploading video onto computer does it automatically erase the camera and set for next video?
A:No. You have to go into the settings you download for the camera and delete manually. No big deal. Also more protective of the video you have taken.
Q:Where's the screen?
A:No Screen.
Q:How do i ensure the focus, coverage, angle is right? pardon my ignorance here. in my handycam the lcd screen shows what's being shot is right
A:Answer this question
Q:Does it have auto focus? if yes, is continuous? if not, what is the focus length?
A:Yes, it's auto focus. There are no external controls except the button to take a picture or start video. According to the specifications, the focal length is 3.4mmFocal Length 3.4 mmMaximum Aperture f/ 2…

Q:Is 32 GB include?

Q:Is it possible to mount this camera on a gun? Action cams have to be mounted under the barrel and with most mounts, the camera ends up upside down.
A:For the most part no the magnet is on the bottom of the camera but I don't see why you couldn't use a piece of Velcro strapping.
Q:does anybody know how to attach it to a skateboard?
A:There would be several different ways. There is a pretty strong magnet if you want to attach it to the trucks. There is a suction mount that does not work well on the grip side. You can adhere a magnet or flat smooth surface to the grip side (top) if you want to film your ankles.
Q:Is there a side by side analysis between the specs of this product and that of a GoPro?
A:Answer this question
Q:is this good for vlogging?
A:Answer this question
Q:Is there a car charger available ?
A:Indirectly. It charges via a microUSB cable. So a 12volt to USB adapter would work. The adapters are the kind you plug into the cigarette lighter outlet. They cost all of $5.
Q:can you attach it to a helmet?
A:Yes
Q:input voltage for polce cube
A:Answer this question
Q:Is there a head mount anywhere like the one for go pro that will fit this? Sorry it doesn't say Amazon verified purchase I bought this in my dad's account
A:Yes you just got to look on google to see where they would sell it
Q:If you are recording and you hide the light on top will that affect the recording?
A:Answer this question
Q:Will the cube work with a I pad
A:I bought it for my friend, when asked, he said it will.
Q:During playback is there a time-of-day display, or is there a progress bar to show elapsed time?
A:Answer this question
Q:Is this camera capable of live video output to use for surveillance?
A:No. When its plugged in it's only good for charging and external USB drive.
Q:Would this be appropriate for 11 yr. old boy who loves to video action? He "grew up" with a Flip camera and uses a tablet as camera now.
A:Depends how he would use it. It gives great video that can be edited. But be aware that it has a wide angle lens and no preview screen, so the only way to see the video you have shot is to download it. I have taken some great video with my bike attachment and some general hand held video too. Can also be used under w…

Q:Does it come with a micro sd card
A:No
Q:can this be used as a live webcam or some sort?
A:No
Q:What about linux (Ubuntu) support?
A:Answer this question
Q:When it takes pictures, does it print them out like other Polaroid cameras or is it just downloaded?
A:No, you still need to print them out from a computer
Q:Does the camera has a timer
A:dont think so. I always just fire them up and trim off unwanted video on my PC
Q:Can you plug the Cube into a computer and video while plugged in to the computer?
A:Answer this question
Q:is it good to be used as a car cam?
A:Sure, if you can strap it down well and keep it from moving a lot.
Q:Can this be used with a Chromebook?
A:Answer this question
Q:I saw a review that the polaroid cube camera doesn't work with Windows 8.1, has anyone else had this problem? I pre ordered for xmas present.
A:when i plugged it to my pc nothings happened. Then when i inserted a xd memory and press the button the led showed up solid green and my pc recognized the software. maybe you need to insert first an xd memory it works for me...i have windows 8.1 asus
Q:I'm going on a kayaking trip. Would you recommend getting the waterproof case
A:Most definitely. The cube, on its own, is weather resistant; but it's not waterproof and will suffer the same fate as any other camera if subjected to water sources.
Q:My cube will not launch when I plug it in?
A:I think it needs the micro storage card inserted for it to work. Make sure it is inserted all the way in the slot. The cube will show up then and you can see the files on the card if you use a card reader and transfer the pics to your computer.
Q:Does this camera support micro sdxc memory card such as "http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-microSDXC-Standard-Packaging-SDSQUNC-064G-GN6MA/dp/B010Q588D4"
A:Answer this question
Q:What happens when you run out of memory? I'd love to record over old recordings or flush memory without connecting to computer. Is it possible?
A:I have not run into this situation yet, but you can set up the cube to either record over old videos if the SD card reaches capacity, or turn off that feature. You will need to hook up your cube to a computer to transfer your pictures and videos, or you can remove the SD card, transfer and replace.
Q:can you charge and record at the same time ????
A:yes you can. if you want to use it in your car, you will need to get a longer USB cable as the one that comes with it is only about 4 inches long. That is the only drawback I found with the cube. I have used it on the hood of my truck and on the roof of my truck. I did not have a long USB cable to film while driving.
Q:With the controls needing to be adjusted with the camera plugged into a computer, does anyone know if this camera is Linux friendly?
A:Answer this question
Q:I need to mount this on my quadcopter. Is the magnet removeable? It will interfere with my compass
A:Does not appear to be easily removable -- perhaps it could be pried, however not sure if that would interfere with the solidity of the housing or operation of the camera.
Q:Is this in the same league as a Go Pro - does it require the same type of software applications, downloads into your computer? GO Pro's are difficult
A:No, plug in play
