Cisco Linksys WRT54GL supports 802.11 b/g WLAN and Ethernet standards. The wireless router is very reliable with all the basic functionality. External antenna is big plus with better wireless reception. Based on what I see from Apple spec and my personal experience, there should not be any problem. There are room for optimization, security, and control with simple configuration, even kids can figure out. I've personally never had luck with a "range extender", so I wouldn't recommend that route, although if both devices are wireless-g then they should get along swimmingly. Depending on just how far you need that signal to go, I really like the Ubiquiti Nanostation wireless bridge setup, as this is what I have had networking my home to the office next door for about five years. If you just need a little bit more range, search on google for a wifi "parabolic antenna", you can make these dish-like reflectors from a cereal box and some foil, and you will be amazed at just how much of a difference they can make. I used to use a pair of them to get signal over 300 feet through walls and everything else back before I discovered the wireless bridge setup. Good luck.
